Credit continues to widen despite equity bouncing back somewhat this morning

Ironic - just last week I read a European commentator's comparison of unified Eurozone bank regulation to his view of how the US works. This person said that the US doesn't have state bank regulators. The misunderstanding is not surprising. This event - with the New York State Banking Department pressing a case that the Fed refuses to pursue - is unprecedented in my memory.
