Nomura hires Deutsche credit specialist for structured lending role
Nomura has announced that it has hired Munish Varma as global head of structured lending and special situations
That may not be the case because their cost of funding is actually very competitive given their access to a very deep pool of domestic funding in Japan.
Excellent hire by Nomura -- however, I would have thought that the cost of funding for a firm like Nomura will make that a tough mandate even for a smart and capable fellow like Mr. Varma!
