Student loans are expected to be the worst performing category of structured finance next year, according to investors at last week's Creditflux Investor Summit

In U.S. student loans, beware the distinction between private (non-gov't) loans and FFELP (gov't-backed) loans. I believe there's been essentially no issuance of private loans since 2010 when the gov't grabbed the entire market. Outstanding private loans, then, are seasoned!
