Arc Ratings lays out plans for global expansion

Arc Ratings, a collaboration of five credit rating agencies from across the world, today had its official launch and laid out its plans to rate sovereign debt, financials, corporates and structured products

My reaction is "good luck to this new business". I like to see new ventures succeed. The most positive attribute I see is that the partners can claim 4 continents as "home". Perhaps the name should be "Global Ratings". It should not have been hard to find a partner in two of the three remaining continents. Antarctica will be tough.
