i could be missing it, but i don't see anywhere that the author said banks were selling. the only party that could be construed as "reckless" would be the readers that jump to that conclusion, not the article itself. and either way, i think it's a fair point to mention that it could be more than a coincidence that some selling took place the same week as the ruling.

The line-up of 27 senior CLO positions that went up for sale yesterday contributed to one of the heaviest trading days this year for senior buyers - when looking at the supply of individual CLO tranches into the secondary market and not the overall volume. Further comments on whether this week's Volcker ruling have had any impact on secondary trading are welcomed. Posted by Sayed Kadiri
