S&P lowers AIB tier 2 debt to D following distressed exchange
Standard & Poor's on Friday lowered its rating on Allied Irish Bank's AIB) lower tier two debt to D from CC following AIB's tender offer last week for its dated and perpetual and subordinated notes, perpetual reseverse capital instruments, and perpetual preferred securities commencing May 13, 2011 and ending June 13, 2011.
