Sharp competitive pressures prompt downgrade for electronics firm
Standard & Poor's has today downgraded Japanese electronics firm Sharp from A to A-, citing the 'severe operating environment' the firm faces, which means a full recovery in Sharp's earnings and financial profile will very likely take longer than S&P had previously predicted.
