Credit investment manager Highland Capital Management says it plans to open an Asia Pacific regional office in Singapore next month. Paul Adkins, a managing director currently based in the firm’s Dallas headquarters will be move to Singapore to manage the new operation.

Highland has also announced that John Mackin, Christopher Harrison and Elizabeth
Goldstein will join the firm next month as managing directors. They will be based in New York and report to head of institutional sales Maureen Mitchell. Their focus will be on sales and investor relations for Highland’s institutional clients, according to the firm.

Mackin was previously director of investor relations at Pardus Capital Management. Harrison was previously president of his own financial and strategic consulting firm Maidstone Capital. Goldstein joins from Bear Stearns, where she was a senior managing director in the leveraged finance group for nine years.
