Cantor Fitzgerald has announced that it has hired several credit traders and analysts in New York, as part of its now 50-strong credit business led by Adam Vengrow and David Pichler. The brokerage firm has hired Jack Oestreicher to trade high yield and distressed from RBS and before that Bear Stearns. Rob Barrett comes on board from BNP Paribas, where he worked in high yield sales and trading. Scott Sodokoff joins to trade energy and utility credits having previously worked at Piper Jaffray and before that at UBS.
Two investment grade credit traders have also joined Cantor – Jim McHugh who is ex MF Global and RBC and Bill Dial formerly of Knight Capital, Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank. There are also two hires in the area of high yield research, with Elle Radinsky joining to cover health care and retail sectors. He previously ran the high yield research functions at BTIG and Chapdelaine Credit Partners. Finally Grenville Day comes on board from Citadel Securities, having previously also worked at Chapdelaine as well as BNP Paribas.
All seven new hires join with the rank of managing director.
