Wednesday, September 14, 2011

iShares has expanded its offering of dollar-denominated fixed income Exchange Traded Funds, with two new offerings aimed at European investment grade and high yield investors.

The ETF platform, owned by BlackRock, said it had launched the Ucits-compliant iShares Markit iBoxx $ High Yield Capped Bond fund, investing in 400 dollar-denominated corporate bonds, and the iShares Barclays Capital US Aggregate Bond, backed by treasuries, agency bonds, securitised products and investment grade corporate bonds.

Both funds are physically backed and listed on the London Stock Exchange, with portfolio management and trading out of the US.
