Pimco announces launch of absolute return credit fund

Pimco last week announced the launch of a new absolute-return style credit mutual fund. The Pimco Credit Absolute Return Fund will target opportunities both long and short across credit, including high yield, investment grade, emerging markets, loans, convertibles and munis. The portfolio manager is Mark Kiesel, who heads the west coast manager’s corporate credit portfolio management group.
