Nomura announces debt head hire

Nomura has announced that it has hired former Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers fixed income syndicate head James Merli as head of debt origination and debt syndicate for the Americas. He reports to Nomura’s joint US fixed income heads Charles Spero and Jeff Michaels, as well as to investment banking head Glenn Schiffman.
