Brokerage holds fourth annual memorial day

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

Interdealer credit and equity derivatives broker Phoenix Partners will donate all revenues and commissions it earns globally tomorrow to various charities in memory of a former colleague, Joshua Bruce Sawyer. This is the fourth year running the firm has made this February commitment.

This year's charity recipients include St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.

Joshua Sawyer died on 23 January 2007 after losing his battle with angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. He was 28 years old and continued to work until days before he died. He would have turned 32 this week.

Founded in 2005, Phoenix Partners Group has offices in New York, London, and Paris.
