GFI announces fall in credit brokerage revenues

Friday, February 19, 2010

Interdealer broker GFI said its revenues from credit derivatives were down 46% in the fourth quarter compared to the same period in the previous year. But this was partially offset by a 66% increase in the firm’s smaller cash credit business.

Total revenues from credit in the whole of 2009 were $276 million, making it still the firm’s biggest sector.
