Former trader heads Julius Finance valuations business

Software vendor Julius Finance has announced that former Morgan Stanley trader and quant Yakov Kanter will head the firm's independent valuation and consulting business, taking the role of president at Julius Finance, which is based in New York.

The company says it has received many inquiries from institutions that need to comply with accounting regulations on valuing corporate and ABS CDOs, trups CDO and other structured products.
