Canada's Globe and Mail reports that the Canadian conduit investors' committee is seeking a further extension of the standstill agreement between investors, banks and conduits. The plan will now be to fanalise the agreement by a 31 March deadline.
Meanwhile, Fitch Ratings says it will begin to rate Canadian conduits for the first time, after the sector switched away from market-disruption only liquidity support towards global-style liquidity.
