Points up front: Aladdin Capital

Kudos to Aladdin for a most dignified response to losing a senior member of staff.
When CLO portfolio manager John D’Angelo quit last month to join start-up Valcour Capital, Aladdin’s senior managing director Scott McDonald confirmed the hire and praised D’Angelo in an article. “We were sad to see him go,” he said.
It makes a refreshing change from most firms’ response: “John Who? Oh, that guy was really junior. And it was really our decision to get rid of him. But you can’t quote me on that.”
