Investment grade
Also known as high grade, a credit rating of Baa3 (Moody's), or BBB- (Standard & Poor's or Fitch Ratings) and above. Many investors are prohibited from investing in debt without an investment grade rating. The boundary between investment grade and high yield (subinvestment grade) is therefore an important technical factor that can affect the level of credit spreads.
