Independent fund manager, Gartmore had over £18 billion under management as of 31 December 2008.
The asset management firm has offices in London, Tokyo, Boston, Madrid and Frankfurt.
It has been in the fund management business for more than 30 years. It started out by providing balanced and indexed funds for UK pension funds and now also specialises in high-performing and alternative investments.
