Aviva Investors has announced the appointment of Nancy Utterback and Alessandro Rovelli as senior credit analysts within the credit team. Based in London, they will report to Mark Wauton, head of credit.
Utterback will manage the further integration of Aviva Investors offshore research team based in Mumbai and will oversee the industrial credit research process. In addition she will cover the telecoms media technology (TMT) and consumer sectors. Utterback has over 25 years experience in credit research and joins from European Credit Management, where she was a senior investment analyst. She previously held positions at MFS Investment Management, Kidder Peabody (now UBS), and Drexel Burnham.
Rovelli will cover the industrial and utility sectors and has over 12 years experience in the bond markets. He joins from Deutsche Bank where he was a portfolio manager in the loan exposure group, responsible for in-depth credit analysis and management of risk exposures. He previously held positions at UBS, Concordia Securities and Cantor Fitzgerald.
Aviva Investors first announced on 8 March last year that it had appointed Jiten Joshi as head of knowledge services, leading a new Mumbai-based team of analysts to support the London-based credit team. The Mumbai team covers investment grade and high yield as well as providing technical and risk analysis. In addition, it contributes to the development of absolute return capabilities for London managed products, focusing on special situations within the entire capital structure.
