James Caird Asset Management has announced that it has hired two special situations portfolio managers from rival credit hedge fund manager Cheyne Capital. The addition of Ian Newton and Matthew Addison follows other recent credit hires including that high yield specialist Pieter Staelens from CQS and Alastair Gilmour, who also previously worked at Cheyne.
All the new hires are for James Caird’s London office. The manager, which manages $2.5 billion including the credit-focused JCAM Global Fund, also has a base in New York.
