Former Fortis Investments manager joins Aviva

London-based Aviva Investors has made another hire to its growing credit team. Simon Blundell, who previously worked at Fortis Investments as head of investment grade credit, is joining the firm as a senior portfolio manager next month. According to Aviva’s announcement, Blundell will work on Aviva’s active credit funds, initially managing corporate bond portfolios.

The appointment is the latest in a series of hires to Aviva’s credit business, following the arrival of former Gartmore and ABN Amro fund manager Mark Wauton as head of credit in April.

Earlier this month, for example, Aviva hired Dinesh Pawar as head of credit flow trading.
