Advisory, asset management and capital markets firm NewOak Capital has appointed David Bigelow as managing director covering institutional clients, according to a company press release.
Bigelow's remit includes pension funds, public funds, endowments, private equities, and financial institutions.
NewOak is also launching a distressed long/short strategy investing in high yield corporate and leveraged loans headed by Mark Pibl, managing director.
Bigelow has 22 years experience. He was at Clinton Group until recently, as product manager for the CDO program and in investor relations for ABS and corporate CDOs. He was also group head for the financial risk solutions group at Radian Asset Assurance prior to this, where he focused on structured products for banks, broker dealers and exchanges.
