Markit announces new roll dates for IG and LCDX and constituent changes

New roll dates were announced this week from Markit for the series 10 indices of CDX IG and LCDX. Since the current roll date of 20 March is an early close in the US and is a day before the Good Friday holiday, the dates were changed for IG and the EM suite of indices to roll on 25 March and LCDX to roll on 8 April. CDX HY rolls on 1 April. iTraxx indices will continue to roll on 20 March.

The effective dates of the new series of indices will remain the same-- 21 March for IG and EM indices, 28 March for HY and 4 April for LCDX, according to Markit.

CDX IG10 will see additions of The Black & Decker Corporation, Kohl's Corporation, M.D.C. Holdings, Masco Corporation, The New York Times Company and Viacom. Removals include IAC/InterActive Corp, Lennar Corporation, Belo Corp, Centex Corporation, Jones Apparel Group, and Pulte Homes. Comcast Cable will be replaced by Comcast Corp.

CDX XO 10 will now include Belo Corp, Centex Corporation, Host Hotels & Resorts, Jones Apparel Group, Lennar Corporation, The Mosaic Company and Pulte Homes. TXU Corp, Residential Capital, GMAC, Harrah's Operating Company, Hilton Hotels Corporation, K. Hovnanian Enterprises, and The Williams Companies are being removed.

CDX Emerging Markets Index and the CDX Emerging Markets Diversified Indices have no changes for the upcoming roll. CDX HY series 9 will see Lyondell Chemical, TEMBEC, Quebecor World and The Williams Companies removed. Additions to the index will be announced within the next few days.

Markit has also announced provisional membership lists for iTraxx series 9 indices. The constituents are not finalized until 18 March.
